Finally – and from the full follow-through you achieved with Step 6 – let the clubhead fall and gather its momentum to wind up to a full backswing position (left) before throwing the clubhead freely once more up and over the left shoulder and into a full follow-through position (right).
With the dynamic of a full body turn, you will find that the momentum of the swing pulls the right shoulder all the way around to point at the target (or even left of it). And, believe me, it is vital that every time you swing through, you reach this full and correct follow-through position – i.e. the shoulders down and relaxed, belt buckle pointing left of target.
If you discipline yourself to do this properly, your body will learn what a correct follow-through feels like, and you will be amazed at the results when you go on and start striking a ball. |
